Very easy to grow delicious Uzbekistani melons. They grow large and have a skin that is rough, with beige netting and creamy yellow to green faint horizontal stripes. The flesh is creamy and soft with an ivory hue and an oval seed cavity. When ripe, its flesh melts in the mouth releasing juice that is exceptionally sweet, with a floral aroma and undertones of honey and spice. We are offering very rare Uzbekistani Melon organic seeds that we have successfully farmed and adapted to our Nevada climate. Back in 2017, our friends gave us a few heirloom seeds they had brought from family farms in Asia. We have been able to successfully grow them on our organic urban farm without any chemicals, using only organic fertilizers and highly nutritionally rich compost.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONs:
Once the soil reaches 70 degrees F or warmer that's when you should plant. You can start them indoors two or three weeks before they are to be set out in the garden., or sow them direct into the soil. Sow the seeds 1 in deep a fertile soil and keep them well watered until germination.
You can use other tricks to jumpstart germination outdoors in colder climates by covering the planting area with black plastic to warm up the soil and start seeds.
To Improving Germination Rates we soak the seeds for 24 hours in distilled/purified water before placing them in germination soil.
